TiviMate for LG TVs? Your options
TiviMate is an IPTV player for Android TV. It can’t be installed on LG TVs with webOS. That doesn’t mean your playlist can’t get onto your LG TV – here are the options, compared on the facts.
Nightdeck is a player only. It contains no channels, movies or shows and doesn’t arrange providers. Only use it with sources you’re entitled to – for example cable TV through your own tvheadend server, your own media server or a licensed service you pay for.
Why TiviMate doesn’t run on LG
According to its Google Play listing, TiviMate is designed for Android TV and remote control navigation. LG TVs run webOS, a separate operating system. Android apps can’t be installed there, and TiviMate isn’t available in the LG Content Store (as of September 2026).
Option 1: a stick or box with Android TV
You plug a streaming stick or box with Android TV or Google TV into one of your TV’s HDMI ports and install TiviMate there from Google Play. The TV then simply shows the stick’s picture.
- You can use TiviMate the way you know it. According to Google Play, TiviMate reads M3U playlists, Xtream Codes logins and Stalker portals.
- You need an extra device, a free HDMI port and usually its own remote.
- Basic features are free, premium features cost extra (in-app purchase).
Option 2: a player built for webOS
An IPTV player that runs as an app on the LG TV itself needs no stick. You use it with your TV’s remote. Nightdeck is such a player for webOS 4 or newer (LG models from 2018). Coming soon to the LG Content Store.

What you can bring over from TiviMate
Your login isn’t tied to an app: you enter an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password) or an M3U link in Nightdeck the same way. Nightdeck doesn’t import favourites, sort orders or settings from TiviMate, and it doesn’t support portals that log in with a MAC address (Stalker).

Frequently asked questions
Can I install TiviMate on an LG TV from a USB stick?
No. TiviMate is an Android app and LG TVs run webOS. Android apps can’t be installed there via USB either.
Is Nightdeck in the LG Content Store yet?
Nightdeck has been submitted to the LG Content Store and will appear there once LG has approved it. For Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV with Fire OS, Mac and Windows (beta) you can get Nightdeck right now – see How to get Nightdeck.
Does Nightdeck import my TiviMate favourites?
No. Your login works, but you set up favourites again in Nightdeck. They’re stored separately per playlist.
Does Nightdeck support Stalker or MAC portals?
No. Nightdeck supports Xtream Codes logins and M3U/M3U8 playlists via link, plus TV guides in XMLTV format.
Are channels or movies included?
No. TiviMate and Nightdeck are players only. You need your own source that you’re entitled to use.
