Nightdeck is a player only. It contains no channels, movies or shows and doesn’t arrange providers. Only use it with sources you’re entitled to – for example cable TV through your own tvheadend server, your own media server or a licensed service you pay for.

When SS IPTV is a good fit
If you don’t want to pay for a player and your playlist is in one of the formats the developer lists (M3U, XSPF, ASX or PLS). If you want to use a playlist file without its own web address, SS IPTV lets you upload it with a connection code.
When Nightdeck is a good fit
- You have an Xtream Codes login and want to enter it directly on the TV.
- You want an interface like the big streaming services: a home screen with artwork, Continue watching, recommendations from your library, “Tonight”.
- You want no ads and no account.
- You want the same player on several devices – TV, stick, Mac or Windows PC, up to 2 devices with one licence.
- You want the interface in your language: Nightdeck comes in 24 languages, including right-to-left Arabic.
What Nightdeck doesn’t do: RTSP streams, portals that log in with a MAC address (Stalker) and playlist files without a link. The TV guide has to be in XMLTV format.

Is SS IPTV free?
Yes, SS IPTV costs nothing. According to its developer, the app shows a video ad or a full-screen banner before it starts.
Can I use my SS IPTV playlist in Nightdeck?
If you have it as a link in M3U or M3U8 format, yes: enter the link under “M3U playlist” in Nightdeck. A playlist that only exists as a file needs an address (http or https) for Nightdeck, for example via your NAS or media server.
Is Nightdeck in the LG Content Store yet?

Does Nightdeck support Xtream Codes logins?
Yes. Enter the server address, username and password under “Xtream login”. A full link with username and password works too.
Do either of the apps include channels?
No. Both are players only. You need your own source that you’re entitled to use.
